Anyload develops extreme high-precision weighing system for wind turbine quality control.

PROBLEM: Wind turbine blades must be consistent in weight and balance, or it will create vibration, increasing service costs and limiting the lifespan of turbines.

Additionally, each turbine blade weighs approximately 50t teach and stretches over 100m (>350ft). Previous systems achieved 0.5% accuracy, but that still leaves a 200kg error margin.

SOLUTION: Faced with the challenge of accurately measuing the weight of these massive and unwieldy blades, Anyload's engineering team designed custom weighing assemblies along with our 110BH tension link load cell, a US patented design that already holds the highest legal-for-trade certification (OIML MAA C6) for a tension link. We further obtained from DEKRA a mechanical CE certification attesting to our 400% breaking overload safety factor.

How it works:

1. 2-Point Weighing: Tension link load cells on the tip and root of a turbine blades housed in custom assemblies.
2. Calibrated System: Weighing systems are pre-calibrated at large, ISO:17025 accredited facility before dispatch to client locations globally to ensure that no additional on site calibration equipment is needed.
3. Triple Redundancy: Backup units allow for each crane scale pair to be returned periodically for servicing, refurbishment, and recalibration.
4. Wireless Operation: Each load cell is paired with a wireless indicator and transmitter paired with a remote display to ensure visibility and ease of use.
